Be a Hard Ass!
"If you can get through this without taking things personal, then you know that you're gonna get there. That's being professional."
I'm watching Step It Up & Dance and they have this one choreographer was telling another contestants. How true, how true.
I had did a monologue tonight from Jose Rivera's "The House of Ramon Iglesia." I went through it and Allan worked me and as always, his notes were greatly needed. I, on the other hand, was pretty disappointed with my performance. I guess what really got me was that I felt I didn't bring it to a 10, which is pretty difficult to do when I start off as a 8. I know that a lot of you won't know what I mean, but I'll know. As I said, the notes helped and I'm gonna miss this process of learning and exploration with Allan. I'm so glad that I signed up for this workshop and hopefully, I'll be able to act in something come July/August! Hopefully.
On another note, I was making revisions to my play and I FINALLY wrote something that actually made me say, Daymn! Did that come out of me? It's one of those lines that when I hear in a play, I wish that I had written that...
